beam_solid_angle
(*args)¶ Solid angle of the main beam.
Solid angle of the main beam out to the first null, based on the HPBW in two orthogonal directions.
Kraus, Radio Astronomy, sec. 6-2, cals this the main beam solid angle.
This is an approximation assuming a Gaussian beamshape (Krauss, Radio Astronomy, problem 6-2.
This is also an alias for antenna_solid_angle for backwards compatibility. The number of arguments determines which it is. In this case the arguments are aperture_efficiency, geometrical_area, and wavelength.
